Brother Manual Feed
The print job requests the manual feed slot, but the slot has no paper.

Symptoms
- The printer displays “Manual Feed”.
Causes
- Manual feed was chosen as the paper source and the slot is empty.

Troubleshooting
Choose the paper source you intended
For a plain-paper job using the manual slot, follow step 2. To print from the tray instead, skip to step 3.
Use the manual slot for plain paper
Raise the output flap, open the manual-slot cover, and fit the guides to the sheet. With both hands, insert one whole sheet until the rollers take it. Wait for that printed sheet to exit before loading the next.
Or switch the job to the paper tray
Cancel the current job using the printer’s job-cancel control. Clear the manual slot. Select Auto Select as the paper source in your print driver, then send the job again.
